Blair Elizabeth Tellers and Casey Alexander Franklin were married Jan. 26, 2013 at Plymouth Congregational Church in Paso Robles.

Blair, daughter of William and Cheryl Whitney, of Cambria, is a 2004 graduate of Coast Union High School in Cambria. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English writing with an emphasis in journalism and poetry in 2008 from Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash. Blair is the city and online editor for the Gilroy Dispatch and Morgan Hill Times.

Casey, son of Dan and Karen Franklin, of Carefree, Ariz., is a 2001 graduate of Mt. Spokane High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Eastern Washington University in 2007 in Spokane, Wash. Casey is a scientist for a Santa Cruz-based biotech company.

Caitlyn Jackson

Caitlyn J. Jackson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Jackson of Gilroy, was among 1,500 Virginia Military Institute cadets who marched in this year’s presidential inaugural parade Jan. 21. The Corps of Cadets marched through the heart of Washington D.C., from the U.S. Capitol Building to the reviewing stand at the White House. The Corps was the final group in the parade, passing the president in review at about 6:30 p.m.

VMI is the nation’s oldest state-supported military college. U.S. News and World Report has ranked it among the top three public-supported liberal arts colleges in the nation.

Alyson Taylor Inouye

Alyson Taylor Inouye, of Morgan Hill, made the Seattle Pacific University 2012 Autumn Quarter Dean’s List. Students on the Dean’s List have completed at least 12 credits and attained a 3.50 or higher grade point average.

Founded in 1891, Seattle Pacific University is a premier Christian university that equips people to engage the culture and change the world.

Michelle Sisto

Michelle Sisto, of Morgan Hill, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2012 semester at Loyola Marymount University. Students named to the Dean’s List have completed 15 semester hours at LMU and earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better.

Located between the Pacific Ocean and downtown Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University is a comprehensive university offering 60 major programs, 36 master’s degrees and a doctoral degree in education from four colleges, two schools and Loyola Law School.

Martin Espinoza

Army Pvt. Martin A. Espinoza has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

Espinoza, son of Martin Espinoza Sr. of Salinas, is a 2010 graduate of Gilroy High School.
