GILROY – Self-Made scored two upsets Friday night to claim the Men’s Fall BB League title at Las Animas Park.

Self-Made, the fourth seed with a 4-4 mark for the regular season, opened the Playoff Night with a 10-6 shocker over top-seed Dutchman’s Pizza. Trailing 6-3 after five innings, Manuel Gonzalez singled and scored the first run, then capped the seven-run uprising with a grand slam.

Ninja Sushi gained a spot in the finals with a 17-15 squeaker over Still Bangin’. Gabe Duenas clubbed four hits and Tomas Carrillo and Ed Lujan homered for Ninja Sushi. Gino Martinez and Leroy Dozal homered for Still Bangin’.

Self-Made raced to a 12-0 lead by the sixth inning and held on to defeat Ninja Sushi 13-11. Manuel Gonzalez stroked two home runs and Eric Gonzalez went 4-for-5 for the champions. Benji Casarez homered and singled in an 11-run sixth inning for Ninja Sushi.

Anritsu climbed out of the fourth seed in the Co-Rec Fall C League to capture the Playoff Night laurels Sunday at Las Animas.

Anritsu stopped regular-season champion Door Expo 4-3 in the opener, Marco Lopez and Henry Maquinalez each scored twice for Anritsu. Adriana Bueno went 3-for-3 and scored two Door Expo runs.

Joseph Tovar and Aaron Perez each lined two singles and scored three runs to help Hi-Energy Networks past Blackout Window Tinting 13-9. Art Mancera homered and Chris Velador went 4-for-5 for Blackout.

Andy Alcaron and Maquinalez each homered as Anritsu eased past Hi-Energy Networks 17-2 in the finals. Aaron Perez poked a two-run single for Hi-Energy.

Door Expo slipped past Anritsu 14-13 Monday in the added game for the league’s souvenir t-shirts. Lily Contreras hit a two-out RBI-single in the bottom of the sixth to snap a 12-12 tie for Door Expo. Teddy Bueno homered for the Doors, Marco Lopez for Anritsu.

Trevino Brothers Construction won two playoff games Thursday to follow up a regular-season Men’s Fall E crown with a post-season title.

Michael Leslie’s sacrifice fly capped a two-run rally in the bottom of the seventh to carry Trevino Brothers past VFW Bingo 15-14 in the semi-final. Leslie homered and Pat Kelly went 4-for-4 for the Builders. Stephen Jeske roped a triple and two singles for VFW Bingo.

Willie Weihman’s two-run homer capped a 6-5 Claddagh Brew Crew win over the Borrachos in the second smei-final. Mark Cisneros hit a homer and RBI-single for the Borrachos.

Chase Locsin and Steve Murnin each collected two hits and scored three runs as Trevino Brothers Construction edged Claddagh Brew Crew 16-13 in the finals. John Weberg hit a Brew Crew grand slam.

Los Gigantes defeated C&R Communications 15-7 Monday in the Men’s Fall C t-shirt game. Jeremy Page hit two homers and Chris Soto scored four runs for Los Gigantes.
