Here is a list of the recent arrests recorded from the Santa Clara County San Martin substation’s log.
DUI
Mario Alberto Ramirez, 22, 1:45 a.m. Oct. 21 on Coyote Creek Drive at Highway 101 in Morgan Hill, for driving under the influence. The suspect was clocked at more than 110 MPH when pulled over by officers.
Commercial Burglary
An unknown suspect(s), between 8 p.m. Oct. 22 and 7:10 a.m Oct. 23 on the 5000 block of Santa Teresa Boulevard, removed a U.S. Treasury check from an office in the amount of $1,387. The check was then cancelled by the issuing agency.
Attempted Burglary
An unknown suspect(s), between 8 a.m. and 12:08 p.m. Oct. 22 on the 14000 block of Water Avenue at California Avenue in San Martin, set off a house alarm by breaking a rear glass door. Suspect may have used a pick axe to break the door. A side door also had fresh pry marks.
Drunk in public
Sergio Castellon Contreras, 40, 10:22 a.m. Oct. 20 at Coyote Road at Windermere Court in Morgan Hill, for being drunk in public and a probation violation. Suspect was standing in the middle of the road obstructing the flow of vehicles.
Drugs
Jose Morales, 45, 4:16 p.m. Oct. 17 on Monterey Highway at 10th Street in Gilroy, for possession for sale of a controlled substance. The suspect was found in possession of 25 Oxycodone pills.
Vehicle tampering
An unknown suspect, between 10 p.m. Oct. 18 and 7:45 a.m. Oct. 19 on the 13000 block of Harding Avenue in San Martin, accessed an unlocked car, damaged the steering column and ignition. The suspect left a methamphetamine pipe, cigarette and lighter in the front seat.
