Benito Salinas Zamaripa, 49, of Gilroy, is wanted for vehicle
theft, reckless driving, evasion of a peace officer and hit and run
after sheriff’s deputies tried to stop him near Chestnut and 10th
streets, 2:12 a.m. April 13. He failed to stop, crashed his vehicle
into a parked car and fled on foot. The 1965 gray Chevrolet truck
he was driving was stolen, according to deputies.

Carlos Geata Bueno, 32, of Morgan Hill, 5:15 p.m. March 28, near La Crosse Drive and Vineyard Town Center in Morgan Hill.
Roberto Salvador Lopez, 21, of Morgan Hill, 10:30 p.m. April 12, on the 2000 block of Tennant Avenue in Morgan Hill for domestic battery and assault likely to produce great bodily harm.
James Kenneth Beadnell, 46, of Morgan Hill, 10 a.m. Tuesday, on the 100 block of Ogier Avenue in Morgan Hill.

A Gilroy woman’s Visa check card was used to make $848.05 worth of small purchases, between 12 p.m. March 23 and 12 p.m. April 6.
A Gilroy man’s credit card information was used to make $85.81 worth of small purchases, between 12:01 a.m. March 26 and 12:01 a.m. April 11.
Animals running at large
Two dogs were running loose in traffic and attacking people near Leavesley Road and New Avenue, between 7:45 and 9 a.m. Friday. The dogs were taken to the county animal shelter.
Auto burglary
A purse containing credit cards was stolen from a 1998 white Dodge caravan on the 15800 block of Walter Breton Drive in Morgan Hill, between 8 p.m. April 15 and 8 a.m. Thursday. The credit cards were used to make unauthorized purchases.
A GPS was stolen from a locked 2003 gray Mitsubishi Eclipse on the 13400 block of Spring Valley Road in Morgan Hill, between 9 p.m. April 15 and 9 a.m. Thursday. The driver’s side window had been broken.
Residential burglary
About $1050 worth of jewelry and electronics were stolen from a residence on the 500 block of Tatum Avenue, between 8 p.m. April 11 and 11 a.m. April 13.
Burglary
A Baja Blitz mini bike worth $300 was stolen from a shed on the 10800 block of Ashcroft Court, between 8 p.m. April 12 and 11 a.m. April 13.
