Police Blotter: Recent arrests made in Gilroy and Morgan Hill

Thirty purebred Boar goats
– 20 pregnant does, three rams and seven kids – a 7-month-old
quarter horse and a 5-year-old pregnant quarter horse were stolen
from a locked pasture, between 12 p.m. Nov. 27 and 7:30 a.m.
Friday, near Burchell Road and Underwood Court.
Sheriff’s arrests

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Hector Angel Bermudez, 30, of Gilroy, 9:49 a.m. Monday, near Foothill and San Martin avenues in San Martin for driving without a license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Juan Ponce, 37, of Morgan Hill, 5:10 p.m. Sunday, near Leavesley and Holsclaw roads.

Drunk in public

Steven Joseph Johnson, 18, of Gilroy, 3:45 a.m. Sunday, on the 11900 block of Calle Cielo.

Possession of a controlled substance

Peter John Palazzolo, 28, of San Jose, 3:17 Thursday, on the 16100 block of Dodd Lane in Morgan Hill on warrants for possession of a controlled substance, burglary and unauthorized entry to a property.

Animals running at large

Sergio Christopher Roman, 19, of Gilroy, 10 a.m. Thursday, near Kern and Tatum avenues at the Gilroy High School agriculture farm after his two dogs escaped his yard and attacked two of the farm’s pigs.

Possession of marijuana

Isaias Galvan, Jr., 20, of San Martin, 4:44 p.m. Nov. 25, on the 15000 block of Murphy Avenue in San Martin.

Other sheriff’s incidents

Identity theft

Several unauthorized purchases were made using a San Martin woman’s personal information, between Nov. 1 and Dec. 1.

Vandlism

Several industrial sized tarps were vandalized, causing about $2,000 in damage, between 12 p.m. Nov. 1 and 12 p.m. Nov. 19, on the 340 block of Kirby Avenue in Morgan Hill at Natural Health Organic Farm.

Found property

Several baggies of methamphetamine were found, 5 p.m. Friday, at a residence on the 1000 block of Rucker Avenue.

Grand theft

Elder fraud

Phone solicitors convinced a 90-year-old Morgan Hill woman to send them thousands of dollars with the promise that she had won $1 million, between 12 p.m. Oct. 22 and 12 p.m. Nov. 5.

Residential burglary

A person entered a home on the 16100 block of Dodd Lane in Morgan Hill while the residents were sleeping and unsuccessfully tried to steal a wallet but left before stealing anything, about 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

Recovered stolen vehicle

A 2003 black Ford Explorer, stolen out of San Jose, was found, 1:25 a.m. Nov. 26, near East Dunne and Walnut Grove avenues in Morgan Hill in the parking lot of the Home Depot.

Burglary

A person entered a garage on the 10800 block of Kirby Avenue in Morgan Hill, between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Nov. 25, causing about $2,000 worth of damage to the garage door. Nothing was stolen, however.

Lost resident alien card

A San Martin man reported his lost wallet containing his resident alien card, social security card and California identification card, 11:10 a.m. Nov. 25.
