GILROY – Local Sheriff’s officials are trying to get the message out to South County residents about the resources available at the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s sub-station located in San Martin.
Many South County residents travel to the Sheriff’s headquarters in San Jose to use various resources such as Megan’s Law CDs, fingerprinting, warrant checks, vehicle property release, bail posting, immigration and visa matters – all of which can be accessed in San Martin.
“I think a lot of people just don’t know we’re here,” Lopez said. “You wouldn’t believe how many times people drive all the way up to San Jose to get fingerprints or post bail.”
Located adjacent to the South County Courthouse on the corner of Highland Avenue and Monterey Road in San Martin, the nine-member South County sub-station is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
The station also maintains full bilingual services .
