The Council never directed Shapell to put up the signs depicted in the photograph. Here at Shapell, we saw the sign boards go up at the same time Eagle Ridge residents did. When we called the city planning department to inquire about the signs, we were told that the city required Bonfante Gardens to put up the signs in question. Shapell was not involved in the installation of these signs in any way. It was between the city of Gilroy and Bonfante Gardens.

Editor’s note: Our apologies. While the homes in the area were under construction and for sale, Shapell had signs informing residents about where Bonfante Gardens property began. The signs in the photographs are Bonfante Gardens’ signs.
