Sister Robert Anne

Ruth E. Stein takes over the Limelight Actors Theater stage as Sister Robert Anne and doesn’t release it until she has entertained, enthralled and captivated her audience as a hip nun, giving a class on how to successfully create a cabaret act. “Sister Robert Anne’s Cabaret Class” offers well-done, original material and a good voice (which is probably great when she is not working with an aggravating allergy.)
She covers everything from hip-hop, western, rock ‘n’ roll and touching ballads with a bit of audience participation and a habit dressed dummy with an attitude.
Stein is accompanied by her piano man Bob Sunshine, who works with her perfect harmony. The show is cleverly directed by Kevin Heath, who makes for a fun, fanciful evening.
Reservations are a must for this production, and tickets are picked up and paid for at the door. Be sure to bring your own dinner and wine, but keep in mind there is a $10 corkage fee—donated to support the Center for the Arts—for each bottle. There is also a concession stand on the premises that offers wine and other drinks. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with an 8 p.m. curtain. For matinees, doors open at 1 p.m. with a 2 p.m. curtain.
Dinner can also be ordered from the Milias Restaurant’s “Limelight Theatre To Go Menu.” Order by noon the day of the show and dinner will be delivered to the theatre at 7 p.m. To order, call (408) 337-5100.
You can’t go wrong here. This is great entertainment close to home, with lots of laughs and an extra-friendly atmosphere. For a relaxing evening of fun that is a distinctive experience, call in your reservations early.
