Morgan Rogers scored in the second half Tuesday to help Gilroy’s girls soccer team open the season with a 1-1 tie at Aptos.
Taylor Slattery assisted on the goal, which gave the Mustangs a 1-0 lead.
“I was proud of the effort they put in,” Gilroy coach Carlos Hernandez said. “Everything we’ve been working on, they executed.”
