Dear Editor,

As a resident of Gilroy for more than 17 years, it saddens me that our mayor has to refute an arbitration issue in the local newspaper. This is like reading the National Enquirer on a local level. If both sides feel they have a legal leg to stand on then proceed with the legal process.

There is no reason to give daily or weekly progress reports. The same applies to the Dispatch – sometimes too much is, well, too much. Just report the news. We don’t need polls on sentencing of a young man whose life has been forever changed. Instead, why not report on why the Santa Teresa road work is taking forever to complete.
