NOTES: Mustangs scored three in the seventh to nearly upset the powerful Rams and star pitcher Alanna Clincy.
Against the Haybalers, Gilroy avenged last year’s playoff loss with a five-inning run-rule masterpiece. Dani Wilson went 3-for-3 with a double. Lele Yslava was 3-for-3 with a homer and five RBIs. Jennie Hernandez also homered.
Yslava shut down the Baler bats with a five-inning shutout, allowing just three hits while striking out five.
