Looking to stop a two-game, scoreless losing streak, the Gilroy High girls varsity soccer team continued a challenging slate of nonleague tilts against Monta Vista-Cupertino.

During the 2011 season, Christopher High football player Marcus Harrell scored touchdowns five different ways - receiving, rushing, passing, interception return and punt return - making him one of the toughest players to keep track of on the turf. Stop him one way, he'll hurt you another.

Eight players from the Christopher High varsity field hockey team earned all-league awards following the 2011 season in which the Cougars finished third in the Mission Trail Athletic League – one win shy of making the postseason.

Christopher High's 2011 football season will be classified as nothing less than historic. Taking most by surprise, and catching the rest off guard – themselves excluded – the third-year program, equipped with its first senior class, stingy defense and balanced offense, earned a share of the Monterey Bay League title and its first playoff win last week.
