GILROY — For Gilroy and Christopher, this season will be all about adjustments.

GILROY — All good stories must come to an end. Unfortunately for Christopher, it wasn’t the ending it hoped for.

GILROY — The 2012 season didn’t end the way either Cougars soccer team wanted it to.

GILROY — All season long Christopher coach Tim Pierleoni has been preaching the importance of writing a good story to his team. Win or lose, he said, he wanted his team’s story to be full of heart, perseverance and life lessons. Week after week the Cougars added another chapter, all leading up to the ending in Week 10 — or so they thought.

Christopher High School punched its ticket to the CCS playoffs, but not before receiving a scare from North Monterey County.

Before the season started, Anzar High senior Diego Avila believed he could become the second runner in as many years from the San Juan Bautista school to win an individual Central Coast Section title.

GILROY — It was an unforgettable night for senior running back Rayshon Mills as he continues to etch his name in Christopher football history.

Pairing and seeding for the Central Coast Section field hockey playoffs have been announced.
