The Gilroy field hockey team started its season off on the right foot, going undefeated at the Varsity Jamboree tournament Saturday at Saratoga. Morgan Rogars was one of the top scorers for the Mustangs, who topped Los Altos 4-0, Saratoga 1-0 and tied with Archbishop Mitty 1-1. Coach Adam Gemar also noted Cathy Carbajal and Carli Colyer as standouts from the tournament.  Gilroy (2-0-1) will host North Salinas at 3:30 p.m. Thursday before playing in the Leigh Roundup tournament Friday and Saturday.
