The Lady Mustang basketball squad is ready to tip off its

GILROY—Marilyn Gonzalez pushed her walker across finish line on the Gilroy High School track as she completed the 50-yard dash.

It was a rough night all around for Gilroy teams. Aside from the Gilroy High boys soccer team, which tied San Benito 1-1, the local teams were on the wrong ends of the results. The CHS girls basketball and soccer teams suffered their first league losses, while the CHS boys basketball team dipped below .500 in the MBL.

A hit by pitch to lead off the bottom of the eighth led the game-winning run as Skyline College handed Gavilan a 5-4 road loss in Coast Conference action Thursday.

All good things must come to an end.

Gilroy has no shortage of athletes who have earned accolades and have stats to back it up.

Mustang spikers fall in five to OG

The 12-year-old Hollister All Stars proved too much for Gilroy Tuesday. 

The Gilroy girls soccer team beat Notre Dame 4-2 Friday at home.
