Star in a Local Movie: Gilroy’s Children’s Musical Theater is holding auditions for a summer program to teach students to make a movie and then to make one. They are casting local youth ages 8-21 to recreate Broadway’s greatest moments on film in “Broadway Movie Musical.” Thursday, May 26th, 4-6:30pm. at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center 17000 Monterey Rd. Rehearsals are 4-7:30 p.m. Thursdays June 2 – July 28. Filming is August 11-14.

Since 1985, GCMT Artistic Director and Founder, John Bisceglie, has directed and choreographed hundreds of community, commercial, and professional productions featuring actors of all ages. For nine years, Bisceglie held the title of Artistic Director for San Jose Parks and Recreation’s Young People’s Theater, and served Gilroy’s Community Services Department in the same capacity for over 20 years.
 

Prepare to sing about sixteen bars (around 30 seconds) of any pop song (without music). Select a dynamic song that really shows off your personality and pipes! Even if it’s “Happy Birthday”, be ready to sing it with confidence. Make that first impression count by giving it your all.
The registration fee is $295 per child. In addition, cast members are responsible for providing costumes, dance shoes and selling 25 movie tickets for $16 each.
