SAN JOSE – The San Jose Stealth, set to go on the road for five games over the next four weeks, moved to 2-1 in National Lacrosse League play Friday with a 12-10 comeback win over the Philadelphia Wings in front of 6,052 fans at HP Pavilion.

San Jose visited the Anaheim Storm Sunday, then will hit Arizona Friday to play the Sting. The next Stealth home game is Saturday Feb. 28 against the Sting.

San Jose fought back from a 9-7 deficit with 14:11 to play. Veteran forward Dan Teat registered four of his game-high five goals in the fourth quarter.

The turning point of the game came after Teat’s point-blank blast past Wings goaltender Dallas Eliuk made it a 10-9 Stealth game. Philadelphia’s Tom Marecheck whipped a shot at the edge of the San Jose crease that goalie Brandon Miller snagged at the 7:38 mark. The goalie then found Teat behind the Wings’ defense for a floor-length pass and Teat turned the assist into a move and goal against Eliuk for the clincher at 7:33.

The Wings sandwiched two goals around a Josh Sanderson power play goal in the first quarter. The Stealth responded with five goals in the second period for a 6-3 cushion. Matt Ogelsby, Mike Regan, Teat, Jim Moss and Josh Sanderson scored, the Sanderson tally finding the net with 2.3 seconds to play in the half.

Philadelphia responded with five unanswered goals in the third period before beginning the fourth stanza with an 8-7 lead.

Miller took over in goal after Philadephia scored its fifth goal of the half, replacing Rob Blasdell. MMiller allowed two goals on 13 Wings shots.

Sanderson and Gary Rosyski each scored twice for San Jose.
