One of Gilroy’s own is “living the California dream” after nabbing top honors in three separate wine competitions, Solis Winery announced today via press release. 

The winery and vineyard located at 3920 Hecker Pass Road took home a handful of awards from the California State Fair Wine Competition, Orange County Commercial Wine Competition and the San Francisco International Wine Competition. 

Solis Winery was awarded a Gold Medal/Best of Region for its 2011 Estate Fiano ($25) and a Silver Medal/Best of Class of Region for its 2012 Port ($30) at the California State Fair Wine Competition. Solis also earned a Gold Medal for its 2009 Estate Zinfandel ($20) at the Orange County Commercial Wine Competition, followed by a Double Gold Medal for the same wine at the San Francisco International Wine Competition.

“It’s a thrill to see our wines awarded at such prestigious wine competitions in California,” said owner Vic Vanni in the press release. “As a family-run winery rooted in the Santa Clara Valley, we’re especially grateful that our quality and passion shine through in every bottle, helping to put our winery and our region on the map for exceptional wines in California.”
