GILROY – Ryan Tapia pitched a complete game two-hitter and recorded 14 strikeouts in Anchorpoint Christian baseball’s 8-1 victory over Calvary Christian Friday. Warriors first baseman Travis Thompson was equally effective at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five RBI.

The win came just two days after Anchorpoint’s Josh Brendle doubled in the bottom of the seventh inning to score two runs, giving the Warriors a 6-5 win over Calvary on Wednesday.

The victories improved Anchorpoint’s Coastal Athletic League record to 3-1 this season. The Warriors will host St. Francis C.C. on Thursday.
