Someone was stabbed near Paradise Valley Elementary School, and police are still looking for a suspect.
A 17-year-old male called police about 1 a.m. Wednesday from his guest room at the Ramada Inn, 16115 Condit Road, Morgan Hill police Sgt. Shane Palsgrove said. The victim reported he was stabbed near the elementary school on LaCrosse Drive, police said. The juvenile victim was in a physical altercation with an unknown male near the playground.
During the fight, the suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim, Palsgrove said. The stabber fled the area before police arrived.
The victim was taken to Saint Louise Regional Hospital with a non-life threatening cut on his arm, police said.
