Tennis: Christopher’s Vong reaches quarterfinals of TCAL tourney

Christopher High boys tennis standout Victor Vong reached the quarterfinals of the TCAL singles tournament, where he was eliminated Thursday with a 6-1, 6-0 loss to Palma’s Mitchell Huntington at Chamisal.
The seventh-seeded Vong was the last of six players competing in the TCAL tourney for the Cougars, who ended the season Thursday.
Vong received a bye in the first round, then won his second-round match against San Benito on Wednesday.
