Tom Kruse, owner of Thomas Kruse Vineyards in Gilroy, explains
music in the park san jose

The Thomas Kruse Winery, established in 1971, remains a cottage industry, even in this age of fast-paced, over-committed and short attention span lives. The Kruses live and work on their 20-acre property and farm, and own 12 acres of grapes. Their wine, like our lives, are unhurried and reflect our personal terroir.
We grow Cabernet, Zinfandel, Chardonnay and Merlot and make estate wines from these varietals as well as small lots of other varietals we custom crush. Unlike most small producers, we also make a Champagne in the traditional French “methode champenoise. The wine is only sold at the winery and we have kept our prices affordable enough for the “99 percent.”
Thomas Kruse Winery is all about the wine and creating a memorable experience for guests. Visitors go to enjoy the relaxed and informal country atmosphere and leave knowing more about winemaking and grape growing – and having exchanged musings about world peace or gopher traps.  Kruse Winery is open noon until 5 p.m. every day except Monday.
