Mr. Walker was born in Biloxi, Miss., 49 years ago.

He was a landscaper in the Santa Cruz area and a resident of San Martin.

He and his wife Amy were active in the Heart to Heart Ukraine Ministry. In March they went to the Ukraine to work on an orphanage. As a result of the trip, 25 Ukraine orphans will be coming to the United States – six to the Gilroy area – in October to be considered for U.S. adoption. He was a member of the South Valley Community Church and was also involved in the Prison Fellowship Ministry.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Walker of San Martin; stepchildren, Eloy and Robert Duran of Morgan Hill; brother, Eddie Walker of Mississippi; and cousin April Gambel of Covington, Tenn.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday at South Valley Community Church, Gilroy.

His family would like everyone to bring a single flower to the services.

Burial will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart to Heart Ukraine Ministry in his memory are preferred and appreciated.
