Campbell’s Towing remains undefeated in Men’s E play
GILROY – Campbell’s Towing marched to a 4-0 record in the Men’s E League softball action Thursday by thumping the Titans 9-2 at Christmas Hill Park.
A four-run uprising with two out in the sixth inning locked up the win for Campbell’s. Rayce Zamarripa clubbed a two-out triple and scored on a Chris Miceli single. John Ontiveros poked a triple, then scored on a Brandon Straw home run.
Miceli finished with a 4-for-5 effort. Greg Renn went 2-for-2 for the Titans.
Terry Smith drilled four hits and scored four runs as St. Mary Men’s Club reached 3-1 with a19-4 decision over Solid Ground.
Danny Molina collected four hits and Al Garcia scored four runs for St. Mary Men’s Club. Ryan Brindle went 3-for-3 and Jeff Rhodes went 2-for-2 for Solid Ground.
Team Heinzen edged Cladddagh Brew Crew 16-14 behind a two-run home run from Spencer Straub.
Team Heinzen used an eight-run fourth frame to erase an 8-7 deficit. Bobby Guerrero went 4-for-4 and Tom Loc bagged three extra-base hits for the winners. Joey Hoiberg and John Weberg each went 3-for-3 and Lee Liberatore scored three runs for Claddagh.
Blackout Window Tinting tops the Men’s EE ranks at 4-0 after a 23-8 decision over the Good Ole Boys Thursday at Gavilan Sports Park.
Chris Velador went 4-for-4 and scored four Blackout runs. Frank Duran added three hits and scored three times. Ray Pizzuti singled and tripled for the Good Ole Boys.
Dan Fortino and Gabe Perez each went 4-for-4 to lift 3-1 VFW BIngo past Courtesy Chevrolet 14-11. Matt McKay and George Ocampo each mustered three hits and scored three Bingo runs. Rich Wist went 3-for-3, Jeff Wong and Freddie Barboza each 3-forr-4 for Courtesy Chevrolet.
Daniel Fellows went 4-for-4 and drove in five runs to spark Bay Area Communications Loco Boys to an 18-7 nod over Radiator Doctor. John Ceballos went 2-for-2 for Radiator Doctor.
