For the gentlemen, Peter Guenther continued to accelerate his progress as the season winds down, winning the 100, 110HH and 300H. Junior Tyler Hill took second in the 110HH.

Matt Ondriezak won the discus with a heave of 122 feet.

“It was our first victory and our kids worked hard,” Gilroy coach Jeff Myers said. “I’m really happy for them.”

Guenther and high jumper Sarah Unadia will be competing in the Arcadia Invite taking place this weekend in Southern California. Both individuals qualified with results from earlier this season.
