The U.S. Geological Survey reported an earthquake with a
preliminary magnitude of 2.6 struck at 1:10 p.m. today near Morgan
Hill.
According to the USGS, the temblor had a depth of 2.1 miles and
was centered about 5 miles northeast of Morgan Hill and 12 miles
north of Gilroy.
No damages were reported.
