Although the thermometer belies the season, here in South Valley we hover on the threshold of fall. Pumpkins, autumn leaves and crisp, cool evenings shall soon overtake the sunny days of summer.
Time to cork the column
Well, it’s the end of the road. After three years and more than 50 columns, it is time for me to say goodbye. What started out as a dare from my best friends when I was in between jobs turned into a passion for recognizing and promoting our local wineries.
Rock of Ages: A loud blast from the past
Bring your ear plugs and get ready to blast off with what is called a “jukebox musical” of the ’80s. I don't remember the ’80s like this, but then I was considered a fairly sane individual at that time. If you desire some of what the ’80s offered – shrieking guitars and sappy ballads by Bon Jovi, Foreigner, Styx, Poison, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, Starship, Twisted Sister, Motley Crue and Journey to just name a few – this is the show for you.
