While at a wedding the other day, my husband and I and another couple were sitting at the table and my husband, being born and raised in Gilroy, they all wanted to know how Christmas Hill Park got its name. My husband looked at them and said, 'I've been here my whole life and I don't even know how it got its name.' So if you could find that out for us and publish it, we'd really appreciate it. The show garnered 14 Tony nominations and won three, one for best musical. Python groupies and non-obsessed Python theater goers will be gleefully satisfied with all the absurdity and insanity.
Celebrate Super Bowl, Mardi Gras with po boy
Two big celebrations are set for New Orleans in the next two weeks: a championship football game and Mardi Gras. In honor of both events, this week I feature the po boy sandwich. My favorite, fit for a Mardi Gras party or watching the Super Bowl, is called Cochon de Lait, made from pulled pork.
