Though the Gilroy High boys volleyball team fell short in its Tri-County Athletic League title defense, a 20-win season was rewarded Saturday.
The Mustangs (20-12) received the No. 8 seed into the Central Coast Section Division II bracket and will head to Palo Alto to take on No. 9 Eastside College Prep (18-12) on Tuesday night.
GHS placed runner-up in the TCAL Valley Division this season. This is the program’s fifth straight postseason appearance. Should the Mustangs prevail Tuesday they will face No. 1 seed Mt. Madonna, which swept GHS in a nonleague match earlier this season.
Tuesday’s match is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
