Downtown Art & Wine Stroll: The Downtown Art & Wine Stroll is Saturday, May 19 from 2 to 6 p.m. Downtown businesses are partnering with 15 local wineries, and for $25 in advance (or $35 at the door), receive a wine glass for tasting at all the different stations. Art from 22 local artists will be on display, as well as a sampling of classic cars. Several stages in downtown will offer live music throughout the afternoon. Advance tickets are available until 1:55 p.m. on Saturday.

Wings of History open house and fly-in: The Wings of History Air Museum is having its 12th annual open house and fly-in from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at 12777 Murphy Ave., San Martin. Admission is free. There will be free airplane and helicopter rides for kids ages 8-17 through the Young Eagle Program and free tethered balloon rides weather permitting. Dog days at Las Animas Park: The public is invited to enjoy a pet parade, raffle, doggy vendors, treats for sale, trainer demonstrations, a visit from a local veterinarian and a barbecue hot dog lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 20 at Las Animas Dog Park and Lakeside Picnic Area, 400 Mantelli Drive. Rummage sale to support Sierra fund: The Gilroy Safeway will host a rummage sale to support the Sierra LaMar Fund on Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m. to about 5 p.m. Sierra LaMar, 15 of Morgan Hill, went missing March 16 and police suspect she’s been kidnapped. Money made at the sale will go toward the fund, which also has a $25,000 reward for information leading to her safe return. Gilroy’s Safeway is located at 905 First Street. Call 842-6446, then dial 8, to reserve a spot. It’s $25 for one space and $40 for two spaces.

Uvas Creek cleanup day: Come clean up Uvas Creek on National River Cleanup Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 19. Meet in the east parking lot near the creek at Christmas Hill Park. All participants must sign liability waivers. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Wear long pants, sturdy shoes and gloves. Bags and some pickup tools provided.
