President With the Guts to

Finish the Job in Iraq

Dear Editor,

A recent letter tries to make a few cases in favor of pulling our troops out of Iraq, but just about every point mentioned is full of holes.

If Iraq had no relation or involvement with Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups, then what are they doing over there? It was said by the current administration as well as Clinton’s that Iraq had WMD and provided training camps for terrorist groups. I think the existence of the terrorists there now fighting our troops is a good enough reason to believe both Bush and Clinton. Iraq had WMD and Bush was not the first one to proclaim it. Clinton was, and he launched the first U.S. attack on that country killing innocent civilians. I believed Clinton then because of my relationship with Iranians and Kurdish people who were attacked with those chemicals.

The question is what Saddam did with the rest of his WMDs and, frankly, I would be grateful if they never surfaced again. Maybe they were destroyed during the initial phase of the attack on Iraq in 2003.

Another case that is mentioned is that Saddam had nothing to do with 911. Although the terrorists in the planes were not Iraqi citizens, there have been plenty of other proofs from 911 Commission report that Iraqi government provided support and training to Bin-Ladden’s terror group to enable them to commit such acts of terror. There are other countries that should answer for 911 attack including Saudi Arabia.

The current and previous administrations have tried to make us believe that Saudis are our friends and allies, I would say otherwise and not trust them as far as I can spit. They have never been a friend of the west and they will never be even more so since the creation of the Wahabi religious sect in that country which has taken over the entire country and is mostly responsible for the waves of attack on non-Muslims and 911.

I find more truth and relevancy in the 911 commission report than in the Iraq study group. The letter writer and other pacifists in this country would rather cut and run just like in Vietnam only days before a victory could be claimed.

We have not lost this war. What’s needed to win is a president who has the backbone to finish, a president who’ll stand by the soldiers, a president not so concerned about the creation of the North American Union while we are in the midst of the fight of our life.

Our troops have what it takes to finish this fight but not with both arms tied behind their backs and stupid rules of engagement.
