SAN MARTIN – Thanks to a referral from Bright Ranch, where taping took place two weeks ago, Clos LaChance Winery in San Martin will be featured on the reality show “Married by America.”

The show, which airs on FOX Broadcasting Network on Mondays at 9 p.m., began with five couples who became engaged before ever meeting in person and is now in its fifth episode.

Part of the last episode was taped at Bright Ranch in San Martin and featured the same couple that visited Clos LaChance on March 12.

“It was a beautiful day,” said Cheryl Murphy Durzy, director of marketing at Clos LaChance. “It was like 80 degrees that day.”

Jennifer is a wine fan and Xavier is French, said Durzy, so they both enjoyed their day at the winery. They were able to do barrel sampling, grape stomping and wine blending.

“They seemed to be having a great time together and they were even chasing the dog around,” Durzy said.

At Bright Ranch, the couple spent the day learning to ride horse and live a ranch lifestyle.

FOX shot footage from 2 in the afternoon until late evening. It’s the first time the winery, which opened in May last year, has received national attention, Durzy said.

“We’re hoping we’ll get some really good coverage,” she said.

And they’re all keeping their fingers crossed for Jennifer and Xavier, who seemed to get along together really well.

“We have a vested interest in it now,” she said. “We want them to win.”
