GILROY – The 55-team Winter League softball program, featuring nine leagues, opens Tuesday with tripleheaders at two fields.
The six-team Men’s C League plays at Las Animas Park tomorrow, with the Playaz and Las Animas Sweepers involved in the 6:30 p.m. opener. Guy’s Heating and Air Conditioning tests Dee’s Nuts at 7:40, with the VFW Vets playing the Good Fellas at 8:50.
The Men’s E League takes the field at Christmas Hill Park Tuesday, anchored by the 6:30 p.m. showdown between the Boss Hawgs and Covenant. VFW Bingo plays Con Huevos at 7:40, with the Slammers and Blackout Window Tinting playing the 8:50 nightcap.
Each team will play an eight-game regular season, with the top four teams in each league advancing to a playoff night. The three Co-Rec leagues play Thursday and Sunday nights. The Men’s D League joins the C and E Leagues on Tuesday and Friday nights. The Women’s League and the Men’s BB and DD Leagues play on Monday and Wednesday nights.
