GILROY – There will be plenty of sunshine for the silver anniversary of the Gilroy Garlic Festival this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The National Weather Service predicts temperatures will be in the upper 80s to low 90s throughout the weekend, cooling to 50s or 60s overnight.

“According to tradition it should be in the triple digits with no humidity. This year it should be a fairly nice but very warm weekend,” forecaster Diana Henderson said.

There will be night and morning low clouds but skies should clear.

“Humidity should run about average for Gilroy, in the 30 to 40 percent range. And wind will run 10 to 15 miles per hour, not too much of a problem,” she said.
