Wrestling: Lopez wins title, helps CHS take 12th at Overfelt Classic

Christopher High wrestler Jimmie Lopez won the 108-pound title in the 49th Overfelt Classic on Saturday in San Jose.

Lopez claimed a 17-4 major decision over James Logan’s Raymond Monela in the 108-pound final to help the Cougars finish 12th as a team with 82.5 points.

Also for Christopher, Ricardo Bribiescas (147) took second, and Ryver Hurtado (140) was sixth.
