She was a native of Hawaii. Yoshiye was a member of the Morgan Hill Senior Citizens Club, Japanese American Citizens League and the San Jose Buddhist Betsuin Church.

Mrs. Nakamura was the wife of the late Henry H. Nakamura. She was also preceded in death by her sons Hiroshi and Henry K. Nakamura. She is survived by her children Utako Takemura of San Rafael, Douglas and his wife Nobu Nakamura of Placentia, Richard Nakamura, of Gilroy, Mary Mellein, of Kauai, Jun and his wife Janet Nakamura, of Bakersfield, Susan and her husband Chuck Harris, of San Juan Bautista and John Nakamura, of Gilroy. She is the grandmother of Steven Takemura, Jennifer Hilla, Trisha Wong, Gerald Nakamura, Cory Mellein, Scott Nakamura, Calvin Harris and one great grandchild Christopher Wong. She is also survived by a niece and nephews in Hawaii.

Buddhist Funeral Services were held Sunday at 7 p.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at the Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy.
