‘Yum-o!’ Rachael Ray gives props to G-fest

Hundreds of thousands of people go crazy for Gilroy’s famed culinary event centered around a spicy little clove – and celebrity TV chef Rachael Ray is no exception. 

The spunky Italian-American known for the catchphrase “yum-o!” and her popular daytime cooking/lifestyle TV show is featuring the 34th annual Gilroy Garlic Festival in the July/August issue of her magazine, Every Day with Rachel Ray. Teased on the cover of the magazine, the article identifies G-fest as one of the “best summer food festivals in the county.”

The new issue hits stands Friday and includes a full-page spread titled, “Road Trip: The Best Fests.”

Praising the Garlic Festival as one of five events touting “some of the best tastes from coast to coast,” the article tells readers to “follow your nose to Gilroy, home to hundreds of acres of heirloom garlic – and appropriately, this festival!”

In addition to the Garlic Festival, the other four events featured in the spread include:
