– such a terrific, emotional experience. I didn’t plan on
staying at Wal-Mart this long (10 years!), but it turned out to be
the best opportunity I’ve ever had.

When the Wal-Mart store first opened, it was the most exciting time – such a terrific, emotional experience. I didn’t plan on staying at Wal-Mart this long (10 years!), but it turned out to be the best opportunity I’ve ever had.
At Wal-Mart there are lots of opportunities for associates. The managers help you work toward your goals. It’s true that we’re like a family, and you can’t beat the benefits. When my mother was sick they let me work weekends and were very flexible.
I’ve done a lot of different things in my time at Wal-Mart, making me really well-rounded. I used to be really shy, and have developed a lot of skills I never even knew I had. I plan to stay with Wal-Mart as long as they’ll have me!
The Supercenter would be the most exciting thing! People who weren’t here when this store opened will have the opportunity to experience what it’s like to put together a store. We will work as a team to make it happen.
