A 2-year-old male was dropped off at Saint Louise Regional
Hospital this afternoon, suffering from a gunshot wound, Gilroy
police said.
A 2-year-old male was dropped off at Saint Louise Regional Hospital this afternoon, suffering from a gunshot wound, Gilroy police said.

An adult male provided the child’s name then left about 2:15 p.m., police said. The hospital staff was able to provide a description of the male and his vehicle.

While on the way to the hospital, a Gilroy Police Department Detective located the vehicle and the male who dropped off the child at the hospital on the 9000 block of Kern Avenue. The male is currently at the Gilroy Police Department for questioning.

The victim is in critical but stable condition and has been flown to an area trauma center for treatment.
