I agree completely with your opposition to the proposed alcohol
ban for the parks. It is asinine. We already have laws to cover
alcohol abuse in place, and they need to be enforced.

I agree completely with your opposition to the proposed alcohol ban for the parks. It is asinine. We already have laws to cover alcohol abuse in place, and they need to be enforced.
Are we going to expect the police to round-up all the members of a group and then decide what the age majority is ? What if people come and go from the group ? If a group decides to have a spontaneous picnic, are we going to have a city office open overtime on Sunday morning to issue a permit ?
The issue is individual conduct. Don’t penalize the majority of responsible people for the behavior of a few.
