Learn QuickBooks 2006
Gilroy – This workshop is designed for the small business owner who uses or would like to learn how to use QuickBooks 2006. Learn to manage and reconcile business accounts, write and print checks, keep track of income and expenses, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, inventory, payroll, purchase orders, estimating and many other bookkeeping tasks that are relevant to run a successful business. This is a 3-week course that takes you through the basics of getting your business started to learning how to synchronize your QuickBooks contacts with other programs such as Outlook.
The dates for this series are Tuesday, Feb. 7, 14 and 21, from 6 to 8pm at the Gavilan College SBDC offices, 8351 Church St.
The cost for this 6-hour workshop is $90 payable in advance.

Small business marketing
Gilroy – This class is an overview of basic marketing strategies. The instructor will discuss creating a plan to successfully market your business products or services. Come learn action oriented strategies for your small business marketing needs.

Get your business running
Gilroy – Learn how to get started by participating in this 2-hour workshop presented by the Gavilan College Small Business Development Center. “Get Your Business Up and Running” presents an overview of essentials, produce selection, business goal setting, legal issues, licenses required, risk evaluation, bookkeeping, financing and management issues.
The workshop will be held Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 10am to noon at the Gavilan College Small Business Development Center, 8351 Church St. The cost is $20.
