The County estimates that 2,600 patients and caregivers will apply for the card this year.

Leading by example
Modesto – The Gilroy Future Farmers of America Chapter recently attended the Advanced Leadership Academy’s two-day experience in leadership training at the Double Tree Hotel in Modesto. Throughout the year, these future leaders will work with local chapter members and community leaders in an effort to enhance the public’s knowledge base of agriculture.
The State FFA Officers encouraged the leaders to open doors, to inspire to achieve more, grow as an individual, and to harvest their strengths.
They are left to right: Daniel Bays, Katelyn Davey, Evan Mulch, Matt Orsetti, Dana Roberts, Stephanie Obad, and Beau Williamson.
