Richard Arthur Hanson, 81, of Morgan Hill, died Nov. 28, 2003.
He was a veteran of World War II, past president of Kiwanis, past president of Fish and Game Club, past president and Man of the Year of Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce, a member of the board of directors of Bank of America and Morgan Hill Police Auxiliary. He retired from GTE after 35 years of service and was an avid sportsman.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Erma Hanson; brothers Russell B. Hanson, of Oregon, and Paul Hanson, of Auburn; sisters Pat Smith, of Utah, and Diane Frydenger, of Paynes Creek; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a brother Gary Hanson.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
The family asks that any donations be made to a favorite charity.
