Audrey A. Lefferts passed away at home, in her sleep, on Jan. 25, 2003.
Audrey was born in New Jersey on June 17, 1936 and moved with her family to San Martin in 1972.
During their school days, Audrey was active in the lives of her children, serving as a chaperone to many marching band events and supporting their other extracurricular activities.
After the death of her husband in the 1986, she worked for local newspapers in the Ad Services department. She enjoyed her work editing and arranging newspaper advertisements until health concerns caused her early retirement in 1998.
She is survived by her children Julie, Scott, Jeff, Laura and Jeremy, grandchildren, Liam, Brendan and Laurel, her brothers Jim, Frank, Larry and Dennis and many nieces and nephews.
Her family, neighbors and friends will miss her very much.
A graveside memorial will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Morgan Hill.
