Lester leads with 726 series
GILROY – Leaguer Dusty Lester raised the bar at the Gilroy Bowl last week as he finished his three-game series with a 726 – including a 252 high game.
Meanwhile, Tammy Lewis topped the women’s league with a 646 series (234 high; Jim Sullivan bested the senior’s league with a 675 series (265 high); and Stephen Jeske knocked down the most pins in the junior’s league with a 579 series (223 high).
Also making the pins pay in the men’s league were: Gary Stutheit (702 series, 279 high); Scott Kawano (711 series, 267 high); Jess Salazar (691 series, 278 high); Kirk Tuckness (676 series, 257 high); Tom Moriyama (673 series, 245 high); Frank Castenada (657 series, 258 high); Tom Alegre (660 series, 265 high); Lyle Perez (696 series, 259 high); Desmond Melia (689 series, 244 high); Rich Braquet (636 series, 221 high); Mike Alciati (267 high); Del Corral (646 series, 236 high); Ray Bravo (668 series, 264 high); and Ernie Long (686 series, 245 high).
Rounding out the women’s league were: Kathy Misenheimen (556 series, 212 high); Kathy Baty (613 series, 207 high); Julia Gimenez (627 series, 224 high); Kathy Bennett (641 series, 225 high); and Pam Nelson (571 series, 207 high).
Rudy Escobedo tallied a 650 series in the senior’s league along with a 265 high game.
In the junior’s league, Jennifer Alexander registered a 573 series (196 high) and Carina Santoya recorded a 457 series (196 high).
