GILROY – Lyle Perez bowled a perfect 300 game last week at the Gilroy Bowl – finishing with a 680 three-game set. But Jess Salazar’s 725 three-game series (268 high) was tops in the men’s divison.
Grace Kawana paced the women’s division with a 650 series (225 high), while Loy Prather’s 619 series (244 high) bested the senior’s division and Nick Simon’s 602 series (230) topped the junior’s division.
The pins did not stay up for long in the men’s division with strong games from James Mason (697 series, 244 high), Frank Campanella (694 series, 286 high), Alex Gallego (657 series, 235 high), Dave Wade (697 series, 264 high), Chet Steengrafe (700 series), Dusty Lester (674 series, 247 high), Tom Moriyama (683 series, 269 high), Jose Farias (695 series, 268 high), Greg Low (237 high), and Mike Alciati (642 series, 234 high).
The cutters were kept clean in the women’s division with solid efforts from Tammy Lewis (643 series, 233 high), Betty Maseun (602 series, 246 high), Jan Glowacki (585 series, 211 high), Terry Moriyama (580 series, 222 high), and Judy Yamagishi (566 series, 233 high).
In the senior’s division, Sam Bondi bowled a 563 series (213 high) and Raul Mendoza scored a 629 series.
