DEAR EDITOR:
Fellow Republicans, and Libertarians who vote Republican, who

DEAR EDITOR:
Fellow Republicans, and Libertarians who vote Republican, who are stuck in the People’s Demokratic Republic of Kalifornia, contact the State Republican leaders (Dave Cox and Jim Brulte) and Chairman Shawn Steele and demand they hold the hard line and refuse to pass ANY state tax increases!
Remember, during the boom, when there was a surplus, how the Demokrats repeatedly told us that that was “not the time” to cut taxes? During that time, we got nothing and they spent more.
Now, they are crying in the bed they have made and want us to fix it. If we agree to this, they will increase spending at the next opportunity (economic turnaround) and the cycle will repeat!
Yes, all the states are currently hit by the recession; it’s part of the free-market cycle. Look at states like Texas and Tennessee. They have no income tax and have far less of a deficit. Florida has an immigration problem, like our state, and has far less of a deficit.
During the next four years, Grayvis and his lapdogs will continue to drive up the cost of living. The only thing left in which we have a say is the budget, because they need two thirds of the legislature to pass it. It would be better to shut down the government than to raise taxes any higher than they already are.
