DEAR EDITOR:
Upon reading on motorcycle cruisers Web site that the Indian
Motor Company had closed its doors, I wrote to Art Friedman at
Motorcycle Cruiser and suggested that someone should make an appeal
to the motorcycle enthusiasts of America and see if they could help
out.

My idea, ask the motorcycling public to make donations of whatever amount that they could and if possible, make stock options a part of the deal, as an additional incentive. The motorcycling community loves to help out, it severs two purposes, it helps the group that is asking for donations and it makes the “biker” community look less sinister. I think that this plan could work, because “bikers” love motorcycles, especially American-made ones. Good luck and my prayers to those at Indian.
