Celebrity Chef Steve Caposio (center)

Morgan Hill Cutthroat
A Morgan Hill chef will be featured Sunday on the Food Network’s biggest show, Cutthroat Kitchen in an episode called “We Don’t Need Another Gyro.”

Steve Caposio is one of four competing chefs who are cutting throats over gyro cooking, as well as other dishes. The show airs Sunday at 10 p.m. on Comcast and 7 p.m. on Direct TV.

Spoiler Alert: Caposio, 49, can’t reveal much, but he does make it to the final round and he has the personality and dramatic chops to be seen more on the network (hint, hint).

Caposio moved to Morgan Hill in 1978 from Long Island and teaches gourmet cooking at a school he owns, Molto Bene.
In the Doghouse
Emily Riley, 25, ran out of her burning house with only the clothes she was wearing—and no shoes—on Dec. 3. The home burned to the ground and she lost everything.

Her employer, the Doghouse Inn, has come to the rescue, starting a GoFundMe campaign that has raised $2,030 so far, and is seeking $5,000 or more.

“We are gathering living essentials for her, including shoes, pants, shirts, sweatshirts, and gift cards. She wears size 7 shoes, size 6 pants, medium tops,” the dog training and boarding business posted on its Facebook page. You can contribute at gofundme.com/huddrens
