Christopher High freshman Laura Melendez is the Student of the Week for May 7. 

What inspires you? A loving atmosphere.
What is your favorite subject in school, and why? Reading and communication.
If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be? Acceptance of everyone.
If you could go anywhere, where would you go? I enjoy coming to school.
Name one big challenge in your life right now: I am learning to communicate utilizing a device in my classroom.
What is your dream job? I am a little young to think about that right now.
If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three things could you not live without? My little toys, my rainbow matt and my friends.
Favorite book: “Hiccups for Elephants” By James Preller.
What do you want to do after high school? Attend a day program that has as much love as Christopher High School.
Something that makes you smile: Arriving at school on the bus.
